Welcome to suscurran199
Monday, January 9
Welcome to

Welcome to itsamekatrina
Thursday, January 12
Welcome to
itsamekatrina, whose RLS is disrupted her sleep. She needs help sleeping but cannot find an over counter med that does not intensify the RLS.
Unfortunately, all of the over-the-counter and many of the prescription sleep aids either aggravate RLS or simply do not work for us. Take a look through our files on the use of gabapentin and Lyrica for sleep and also look at medical marijuana if you live in an area where it is legally available. Finally, please post a note telling us more about your RLS so that we can offer some specific suggestions.

Re: JANUARY 2017 - NEW MEMBERS
Saturday, January 14
Welcome to
GBoomer, who was diagnosed with RLS a few years ago and, in retrospect, realize that the symptoms were there from Boomer's teenage years on. At 55, RLS is much more disruptive. Boomer also is interested in how to train as an athlete with RLS, since sleep is such an important element of the "recovery" stage of training.
Please take a look around and then post a note telling us about your RLS and your athletic training. I can personally offer some comments since I am also a competitive athlete.

Welcome to maewings
Monday, January 16
Welcome to
maewings, who found us when looking at WEBMD about two scripts that could be harmful if taken together and lead to the Foundation website. BUT, the meds prevent her migraines - so she is currently working on different ways to relieve them.
Take a look around and then please post a note asking for RLS friendly ways to manage your migraines. Several of us have both (including me) and it is possible to manage both.

Welcome to ninjalady
Friday, January 27
Welcome to
ninjalady, who has had sleep problems since a young child. She started taking ropinirole about 5 years ago and switched to Mirapex 2 years ago. The medication is making her compulsive and so she is one hundred pounds overweight and 65. The meds are starting make the disorder worse and she really wants off them.
Take a look around, especially in the Augmentation forum. Then please post a note so that we can offer you some specific suggestions. Getting off of Mirapex at this point will be VERY difficult without the help of a doctor familiar with treating augmentation.
