Welcome to

Cindi, who started getting occasional RLS a few years back. Then all of a sudden as if overnight its occurring every night. Her Dr put her on some drugs which stopped the spasms but the side effects were awful. Then another drug. Even scarier. She can't sleep or work and now dreads nighttime.

Take a look around to get an idea of how others manage and then please post a note telling us what you are doing now and asking any questions that you have.

Welcome to

judeSonoma, who has suffered with RLS for over 20 years and is taking major doses of opiates to control his symptoms, with the result that he is also tired all the time. He hopes to be able to learn from other people if there are alternative ways of managing our RLS.

As you look through our discussions, you will see where many of us now use combinations rather than single meds for our RLS. Please post a note telling us about what you are currently using and asking any questions that you have.

Hi Jerry - welcome. Since you are having a lot of trouble with gabapentin, my guess is that you are augmenting. Lots of info here about it. Take a look around, read about augmentation, ask questions - we are here to help.
