Is Kratom or Cannabis better for chronic pain?

Here you can share your experiences with substances that are ingested, inhaled, or otherwise consumed for the purpose of relieving RLS, other than prescription medications. For example, herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, diet, kratom, and marijuana (for now) should be discussed here. Tell others of successes, failures, side effects, and any known research on these substances. [Posts on these subjects created prior to 2009 are in the Physical Treatments forum.]

Is Kratom or Cannabis better for chronic pain?

Post by jul2873 »

There is an interesting discussion on this issue on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/kratom/comment ... relief_in/

I can't weigh in, as I've never used Cannabis. Plus this discussion is about chronic pain, not RLS relief. However, my understanding is that effective RLS medications often involve pain relief. I know that kratom gives me total relief from RLS symptoms.

Anyway, I thought the discussion might be of interest to RLS sufferers. Wishing everyone the best for a peaceful day (and night!)

Thanks Mary. Interesting. About what I expected - kratom is the real thing, whereas high-CBD cannabis can be good for neurological pain; and everyone is different.
