Compression Socks

Here you can share your experiences with substances that are ingested, inhaled, or otherwise consumed for the purpose of relieving RLS, other than prescription medications. For example, herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, diet, kratom, and marijuana (for now) should be discussed here. Tell others of successes, failures, side effects, and any known research on these substances. [Posts on these subjects created prior to 2009 are in the Physical Treatments forum.]

I'm glad for you, they didn't help me much. I also tried vibrating pillow (helped a bit) and vibrating calf wraps (also provided a little relief). If you are able to do ok without medicine, you are very lucky, and stay off medicine as long as possible.
Blessings,
Holland

Over the years, many people have said they help. It's always a great thing to try before you get to drugs! And iron :-).

This, again, illustrates to me that there are very, very likely to be "types" of RLS. We just need to identify them so that treatment becomes much easier to tailor to people.

We are so different in what helps us and what does not - for example, I absolutely could not bear to wear anything restricting like compression socks. On one occasion I wore flight socks and hauled them off before evening getting out of the terminal or near the aircraft.
