RLS occurs more frequently in certain populations, including people with end-stage renal disease, women during pregnancy, and people with iron deficiency. Also, RLS/WED in the elderly and children brings other challenges. Sharing your experiences may be extraordinarily helpful to others.
Hi there! I'm new to this site...just looking for some information. My doctor told me to try drinking a glass of tonic water about an hour before I lay down at night since that's when mine is the worst. The taste leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion but I'm willing to try anything to get some rest. I don't know what about tonic water is supposed to help but it seems to be doing the trick. I just wanted to share that. Hope it helps someone else!
hi there!
tonic water has quinine it (and lots of sugar!!so beware) which is a good relief for nocturnal leg cramps. some rls sufferers find quinine can help with their rls also. im not sure why??
hope that helps?
