Spouse of RLS
Spouse of RLS
It is after 3:00 a.m. and I am again awake because my husband's RLS often causes him to slap the bed with his foot (or feet) at approximate 60-second intervals in his sleep. Although he takes medication for RLS, the bed slapping continues. Do you have any helpful suggestions for relief for both of us?
Sounds like PLMS...
Hi Psiapat
From what you are describing, it sounds like your dear hubby has a case of PLMS (Periodic Limb Movement Syndrome), also known as nocturnal myoclonus, on top of his RLS.
I've attached a couple of links for you below which might help you, your hubby, and your doctor/s out:

Take care of you (and hubby!)

My philosophy is simply this: Life is too short to be diplomatic. Your friends should not care what you do, or say; and for those who are not your friends ... their loss!!!
