RLS WITH DIALYSIS

RLS occurs more frequently in certain populations, including people with end-stage renal disease, women during pregnancy, and people with iron deficiency. Also, RLS/WED in the elderly and children brings other challenges. Sharing your experiences may be extraordinarily helpful to others.

RLS WITH DIALYSIS

Post by JIMJO »

My husband has been on dialysis since Feb this year and has rls plus some nights his whole body seems to toss , every few seconds for hours. He is still able to work to help pay the medical bills but this is taking a toll on him too. He does not have this every night and even tho we have kept a journal, can find no common 'cause" . I have bruises from times he hits or kicks me during some of these nights . His dialysis doctors only offer has been strong (addictive) sleeping pills. They do allow him to sleep thru the episodes but it is still not a rested sleep. Anyone else have a better idea that has worked??? Thanks, JJB
