The real indicator that you have RLS is probably your positive response to Requip. There's an interesting article in Sleep Medicine that explains how difficult it is to diagnose RLS on the basis of the four criteria alone (*). But having a positive response to a dopamine agonist is a supporting criterion.

THAT is one thing that scares me as much as the thought of seniors with dementia and undiagnosed RLS being strapped to their beds. There were new guidelines released recently for diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in pre-schoolers, and not a mention anywhere in those guidelines of doing a differential diagnosis for WED/RLS ! I wish I was a physician and could write (to whom?) with enough force, knowledge, and authority to get that changed.I wonder how many students are on Ritalin that should be on requip
