The FDA just released a warning about the risks associated with stopping opioid treatment too quickly. The risks include suicide. This is highly useful to anyone whose doctor suddenly decides to quit prescribing opioids.

And here is a link to the FDA's press release. It shows signs that they have finally heard and are starting to react to our side of the opioid story.

And one more that was passed along to me by Karla Dzienkowski, Executive Director of the RLS Foundation.

There is a link in this one to a letter that the CDC sent to three organizations that clarifies their position with respect to the CDC guidelines and how they have been miss used for doctors treating cancer and sickle cell patients. Since the head of the CDC is the lead for the HHS task force on rewriting the guidelines, this is an encouraging sign. Also, the Foundation's Facebook page indicated that there were over 350 RLS comments to the task force's public comments, which is a great number considering that we were not even on their radar when all this started.
