Over ten years on methadone.... still here! I can say that timing has helped immensely. I rarely have issues as long as I take them on time.

Big issue for me since I started codeine and moved to hydromorph contin, about 10 years now. I have had to add medications to deal with it, which super-sucks. Adjusting the timing won't work because hydromorph contin doesn't have as long of a half-life as methadone.

Timing has helped me a little. I spread out the methadone throughout 24 hours. I recently found that hemp oil helps me.

I went away after maybe 2 years on classic opioids like Morphine & Oxycodone but I still have big big trouble sleeping at night.

Methadone is also more problematic than classic opioids.
