It could be that you are not getting enough gabapentin. This could be because your dose is still between low and moderate levels or because you are not getting enough of it adsorbed into your bloodstream. One of the limitations of gabapentin is that it is not consistently adsorbed from the gut into the blood. So, my suggestion would be to talk with your doctor about trying a higher dose. If that doesn't work, then you could try switching to Horizant or Lyrica. Horizant is more consistently and effectively adsorbed and becomes gabapentin once it is in the bloodstream. Lyrica is similar, but can have different side effects. Also, both of these meds are more expensive than gabapentin. Lyrica is somewhat less expensive than Horizant.

Dr walters is my doctor and he said to increase as needed , so try another 100-200? Also I read insomnia can be a side effect of the patch!

If those changes dont't help your sleep, perhaps you should try THC (medical marijuana). It is one of the few things that seem to help RLS sleep problems.

Most of us have found that CBD doesn't help with sleep like THC. In my case, CBD does help when my RLS causes anxiety, just not sleep. Unfortunately, products with THC still aren't available in many states. But attitudes about that are changing, so hopefully we see a change in the next couple of years.
