muscle relaxers

Post by James7 »

I recently had a double knee replacement. I have since developed a weird spasm in my thigh. When I go back to my Ortho I am expecting him to prescribe a muscle relaxer for the spasm. Are there any recommendations for one that will not exacerbate restless leg?

When I used Flexeril, it did not exacerbate my RLS. The only word of caution is that it is a central nervous system depressant, so it should not be taken along with opioid type pain killers or alcohol.

Same here. I had a neck issue where I couldn't move my head at all without extreme pain. They gave me flexeril and besides making me incredibly relaxed (so that I couldn't work) my legs/arms weren't bothered.
