I had Injectafer Infusions on 4/4 & 4/11/22. Very pleased to report positive response. I’ll post some info; you are welcome to ask questions for more info.
Suddenly developed RLS about 12 years ago. Otherwise very healthy. Several/All meds led to augmentation and severe RLS. Started Oxy and Horizant with fairly good results for about 3 -4 years. (Always took my meds.). Sleep problems increased and RLS began in arms as well as legs during day. Doctor ordered Injectafer infusions.
About 5 weeks post Injectafer infusions, noticeable decrease in RLS. Continued meds as usual. Much more rested, energetic during day. Two days ago decreased Horizant and will decrease 1/3 dose for a week. If successful will decrease by 1/2.
PRIOR, while taking oral iron my Ferretin continued decreasing to 18 ng/Ml. Iron was 95 ug/dl & Iron Sat was 34%.
POST Injectafer (4 week mark) Ferretin 590 ng/ml, Iron 166 ug/do & Iron Sat 78%.
Pleased with results. Goal to better control RLS and reduce meds if possible.

What a wonderful result from your infusions. It's helpful for other members to read how this was successful for you.

Re: Injectafer Infusions - Update
That's great. I have been on oral iron for 3.5 months and just had my f/u iron panel drawn prior to the weekend. Anxiously awaiting results so I can get my IV iron --I am assuming my ferritin will be <100. It was 41 when I started oral iron but I understand oral absorption drops off once ferritin gets above 75. I will specifically suggest iron carboxymaltose (Injectafer) to my doc. I will keep the group updated.
