Rebound effect with Restoril

Post by byosen »

I'm a novice to discussion boards of any type-forgive any errors, faux pas, etc... I have taken Restoril 30mg for restless legs for years. I am blessed in that I don't have daily/nightly rls-so this has worked well until recently. Restoril either doesn't help or actually exacerbates symptoms.
Has anyone heard of this? I've used it for over 11 years. My internist is suggesting Darvocet or something along these lines...has anyone out there had success with this? Too, I saw a medication called Lorazapam (sp?) mentioned. What class of drug is this?

I actually just posted my own results of using Darvon, which is just propoxyphene. Darvocet also has acetominophen, which is not useful for RLS and which damages the liver over long periods. If you do get it, make sure you get Darvon and not Darvocet.

See here for my report:

Also check the RLS RX list, which I found very helpful in deciding which way I wanted to go:
