I was at my neurologist this week and I'm trying to switch from Mirapex to Requip. He mentioned that some new drugs to treat RLS should be coming out soon just in case the Requip doesn't work for me.
Has anyone heard of anything new?

Hi Jimmy legs missed seeing you post. Good to have you back. As far as another drug, I do not now but some other members may have the knowledge.

Yep.
A new version of Neurontin will come out - time release. A new dopamine agonist will be in patch form, giving continuous dopamine, hopefully resolving some augmentation issues. Another drug is really new - at least five to ten years away.
All of these have been reported on here at one time or another. It just takes so long to get through all stages of approval, the posts drop down to another page. Maybe I'll create a sticky for them - keeps us hopeful
