Mirapex Side Effect I Forgot to Mention
For some reason last night my mind wandered into the past and it dawned on me I don't remember mentioning this here. When I first started on Mirapex - long before the augmentation started - and I was new to the med. The first side effect that scared me was the sudden onset of sleep without warning. But hallucinations and paranoia scared me in a whole different way. One night I kept seeing a blinking green light in the area of bedroom ceiling light fixture. I was convinced the person in the apartment above me had come through the ceiling and placed a camera and was watching me. I had no ladder so was unable to reach the tall ceiling, so I taped a red marker to the end of a broom handle and every time I saw the light blink, I stood in the bed and put a red X to mark the spot. I knew my family would be there in the morning, and I finally fell asleep too exhausted to keep climbing up and down. My family arrived and climbed up and removed the globe of the light fixture. Took some scrubbing to get the ink off. Of course there was no camera and no way to access my ceiling from above. It was a concrete floor. Why I saw a green blinking light off and on all night I'll never understand. The only explanation in my mind is a side effect of the new med. Just throwing that out there, and wondering if anyone has had this type of issue while on Mirapex.

That would have been a very scary night...
I have read of hallucination type events with regard to the DAs.
I take ropinerole and there was a time in the past when I would see a slight movement out of the corner of my eye, or on occasion reach into mid air for something that was not there. Wasn't sure if it was hallucinatory from the meds, or from exhaustion.
It is only upon reading your post that I've realised this has not happened for a long long time.

I would definitely want to forget that!
As PB noted, some people do have hallucinations. Fortunately, not many do. But, what a horrible thing to go through for those who do get them.
The worst I had when I first started was lucid dreaming. I know some people LIKE that state, but I wanted to sleep, not be semi-awake and aware of ALL my dreams, ALL night long. I was exhausted when I got up. Thankfully that decreased over the first week until all I had were vivid dreams.
