Tramadol can actually cause augmentation....doesn't happen to most, but it can.

There used to be only two anecdotal cases of augmentation from Tramadol in the literature. I haven't kept up so I don't know if there's more now. But if there are still only those two, it's extremely rare.
I tend to think a more likely cause of what you're experiencing is opioid withdrawal. Tramadol is similar enough to real opioids that its withdrawal symptoms are similar. If it's anything like opioid withdrawal, the motor restlessness associated with it might be indistinguishable from WED/RLS.
You might want to read up on it and then maybe consider if you're stopping your experiment too soon. You might be experiencing withdrawal rather than your baseline RLS/WED>
