It's looking like my request for a morphine pump to treat my RLS is moving forward. I still have to see the Shrink, I'm really not to worried about that portion but the voices in my head are slightly concerned. I'm just hoping the village of miniature people living under my fingernails remain quiet during the tests.
Is there anyone out there that wouldn't mind sort of giving me their help as I move forward? Questions from, how long did the insertion operation take, amount of relief, how often do you get a refill, etc? Perhaps share a few pointers for traveling, sport concerns, or anything that I need to take into consideration.
I do appreciate you considering being available and helping my family and I through the upcoming events.
Ed I would certainly help you, but I have no experience with it. I'm glad you're keeping us all updated, though. And amused (not at the pump! at the village of miniature people)

My initial understanding is the pump will go on my right side with the filling device just under the skin. While they are implanting it they move pieces and parts to get to my spinal column. Then the morphine delivery tube is then connected somehow to the spinal column (possible the sack around the column). Since the morphine goes directly into the spinal column, it doesn't have to be digested and then go all over the body trying to find the "pain."
