RLS Advocacy

Post by Rustsmith »

Twice during the past week I have been asked to speak with RLS patients who are at serious risk of losing access to their opioid medications due to changes in the laws or the policies of insurance companies. If you have not already done so, PLEASE sign up to become an RLS advocate. You can find out how by watching the free webinar at https://www.rls.org/get-involved/advocacy

It only takes a few of minutes of your time to watch the webinar and then write an email with your contact info, the lobbyists at HMCW take care everything else for you. You don't even need to personally contact your representatives if you aren't comfortable doing that.

Also, one of the things that I learned from these calls is that it appears that the doctors at Johns Hopkins will no longer be allowed to accept new patients from outside the state of Maryland.
