What is augmentation?

New here, and wondering what it is.
Augmentation is when a DA medication such as mirapex or ropinerole ceases to be effective. The symptoms come earlier in the day and often start to affect the arms, shoulders, other parts of the body.

Eventually it is necessary to come off the DA medication and find another treatment - of which there are several.
