Pain in legs and restless legs
Pain in legs and restless legs
Does anyone else have have pain in their legs?
Re: Pain in legs and restless legs
To be more specific. I definitely have restless legs syndrome and PLMD at night which is relieved by during certain exercises as described at https://www.healthline.com/health/restl ... #stretches. I sleep on my stomach and I have pain in the front of my thigh mostly in my right leg as the night wears on which prevents me from getting back to sleep after doing the exercises, or even if I have had no restless legs at all. More recently I have the pain during the day both in front and back of my legs - mostly my right leg and mostly in the front. I feel it when walking or going up or down stairs or lying down on my back for a nap. I guess my question is whether this is part of the restless leg syndrome. I am on 4 mg of ropinirole and just 3 days ago have started to taper by .25 mg but this has not affected my pain and I have had no withdrawal symptoms. I also had no augmentation symptoms - am just tapering down to start a new medicine eventually since the ropinirole hasn't worked.

Re: Pain in legs and restless legs
It is very possible that you have two things going on - the RLS/WED as well as some other thing. I have periodic pain from three things that are different. One is fibromyalgia, another is related to nerve compression, and the last is a muscle knot issue called trigger points. Am heading out to walk the dog (she is whining) - will try to remember to explain more when I get back.
