Race is strong predictor for RLS
Race is strong predictor for RLS
Forty percent of Caucasian women have RLS!!! https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... D7vrnViP0Y
Re: Race is strong predictor for RLS
Hard to believe that 40% of white women have RLS. Doesn't fit with the people I know.

Re: Race is strong predictor for RLS
Although the statistics reported in the paper may be valid indication of RLS among the patients at the author's clinic, there is an extremely good chance that the clinic's population does not represent the overall population. For starters, patients at the clinic have self selected themselves simply by appearing at the clinic. This means that patients in the clinic population have some condition that requires medical treatment or requires periodic checkups. Individuals that do not need medical care would not be represented in the clinic's population.
This is a perfect example of incorrectly applying statistical analysis and is a fantastic example of a technical publication that requires careful review because the facts reported may be correct but the analysis of the data in the report is either incorrect or at best it is highly misleading.
