This PubMed article says that low dose hydrocortisone helped with severe RLS. But I can't see from the article exactly how it was administered. The placebo used was apparently given by IV. Has anyone used hydrocortisone?

I was able to see the entire paper using Google Scholar. Your assumption that it was administered via IV was correct.

Hi all,
New to the site how do you follow up on these studies and find out if there are any doctors using this treatment? Or if there are more studies going on?
Thanks!

Lissa, our only sources of information are reports from our members, comments made by the experts at RLS Patient conferences and published literature. I have not seen any further information about the use of hydrocortisone for the treatment of RLS and it was not mentioned in the recent updated algorithm for the treatment of RLS. I have no idea whether this was because no further investigations were done (funding is always an issue for existing drugs) or whether it didn't pan out as a viable treatment.
