RLS Clinical Trials

Post by Heronak »

Just curious, is anyone here participating in any of the clinical trials listed on rls.org? Does anyone know which "investigational medication" they are testing?

no volunteers so far, huh?

If I had to make a guess the multicenter clinical study conducted all over the US is probably testing ropinirole (Requip) and is funded by GlaxoSmithKline. Such studies run into big money. Interestingly, the NIH also is conducting a study and they are the only one naming it; ropinirole.

There are a few studies concerned with some other drugs. The closest one to me is Houston and that is around 500 miles, a bit too far.

Yeah, somehow I don't think the studies include airfare from Alaska!
