Found the List!!!

jumpyowl wrote:SOMEONE CAME UP WITH THE IDEA TO SEND A QUESTIONNAIRE TO ALL THE GROUP LEADERS

It is a good idea but I could not find a list of names with e-mail adresses.

Supposed to be called the nightwalkers Can anyone help?

Found it Jumpy! There's over 100 email addy's!

If you want, if you have a general "please help us" email that you've been using, I can start working through the list.

If you don't, I'll just modify the general SOS that I sent out to the Yahoo Groups.

If you could send me the list or half the list, I can do at least half. You use your own and I will have a short one aimed at the support group leader.

BTW I got the suggestion from the Greater San Antonio group leader!!!

Thanks a million for sending in the completed list. It was worth waiting for!

I knew I could count on you!

As ever, with multiple hugs:

CRIPES!!!!!!!

WELL....Knock me down with a feather!!!!!

I've just been chatting to my sister and telling her about this project and lo-and-behold she says "oh yeah, I get that! But it's only mild!"

Yeesh!

Although she only has a very mild case, she's willing to fill out a questionnaire for us!

Think we can definitely say that it's hereditary!

Now I'm going to send an email to my mum's oldest brother, who also has RLS (mild/moderate) to see if any of his four children have it!

Ok Jumpy,
I was able to get a link to this post on another RLS group site. They are a growing group and you may get a few people that are interested.
Thanks for the help with the email.
Oh, your PM here does not want to work is it me or is it still full?

Gotta luv the nites when you're legs are driving you nuts for no good reason!!!

It's just gone 1.15am (again!) and they're in full swing :?

However, I digress (as usual LOL)

I have just sent out an email to every RLS Support Group Network Leader who was listed in the most recent Nightwalkers Newletter and who had an email address ... somewhere in the vicinity of 90-100 people.

Jumpy as you will have seen, I ended up incorporating your short version with the general SOS that I send out to the Yahoo Groups the other week.

I do hope that we get some responses and are able to reach (and pass!!) the magic 100 mark! Fingers, toes and everything else crossed  8)

Luv, (((Hugs))) and Sweet Dreams to All!!

I do not know how you do it, Nadia! It inspired it that I even completed my own qiestionnaire. There is no doubt in my mind that we will hit the 100 mark. As you will see it below we are almost at eighty, if not there yet.

Good night to you especially!

Keep your fingers, toes and everything else crossed guys and gals!!

I have already received responses from the RLS Support Group Leaders in Manhattan: New York; Columbia: South Carolina; and Ontario: Canada!

I have a good feeling about this!!

My daughter has it i'm pretty sure but hasn't been diagnosed because her primary(HER BOSS) doesn't quite buy RLS.Can you believe it!
Should she fill one out? I've questioned her at length and theres no doubt in my mind AND the meds she's on are Klonopin and Neurotin...hmmmm
Finally able to sleep on average 9 hours a night!

I think your daughter should definitely fill out the questionnaire.

One of the main aims of this project is to get doctors (like your daughters!) to sit up and take notice of us rather than brushing us off as knowing nothing about what's going on in our own bodies!

Hi Sug,
I just wanted you to know that it's a great idea for your daughter to fill one out.
I got my grandmother, and niece to fill one out. I could have gotten 4 generations, but MOM felt like her RLS was all that important to the project. I respect her privacy and resisted filling one out for her. But if your daughter is willing to do so, by all means...........GO FOR IT.
And tell her thanks for the help.

How can I disagree?

I just want to share with you that lately when I comment on posts, especially if it is an interesting case, I mention the questionnaire. I have received nice responses as a result. :)
