There are ongoing studies on various neurological diseases, including RLS, and the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center collects and maintains a brain bank. I have just requested their Brain Donation Questionnaire, which is the first step towards donation. Here are two links:

I'm pretty sure I won't be needing my body parts when I die!

Hi Heron, it's Jan
What a GREAT IDEA!!! I'm all for it!! I only hope they don't just find a big old hole and air in mine!!! Seriously, I've heard of this and I think it's a wonderful thing, not just for people with RLS, but people with all kinds of neurological diseases. I don't think we'll be needing them after we're gone. In fact, some of us don't even use them right now! LOL

No one is alone who had friends.
As a followup, I emailed a request to the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center and got a call yesterday from a very nice woman. She wanted to know how many brochures I wanted...since I have only one brain, it was a no-brainer, so to speak!
Does this topic freak people out, or are there folks out there who are interested (besides Jan)? Just curious,
