Great news my friends!

The report says NO cancer anywhere, in his other kidney, lungs, pelvis etc.

Now the Urological surgeon will review the CD under a magnifying glass but so far so good.

Looks like surgery is due for tomorrow ((holding my breath))

please keep the prayers coming our way.

Brenda I will definitely say a prayer and will do it all day long. I say a prayer to the Blessed Mother and it is called [/b]A Prayer to the Blessed Mother That Never Fails. I say that everynight and you and hubby are always included in that along with the rest of the rls family and friends.

Thank you for keeping us updated and please take care of yourself.

hi my freinds,

quickly cause i'm on my way out the door.

Steve did great during surgery. They did have to take some of his bowel out as it was attached to his skin.
And there's still this lung thing that showed on the xray but so far not on the MRI.

So he's in ICU and supposed to be out to another floor today. :)

The biggest complication would be infection from having to mess with the bowel. The surgeon said the hernia was so huge and that theres always the chance if he gets infected the mesh will need to come out.

He's on IV antibiotic's.

So please pray for us.

Hi Brenda Thanks for the update and will definitely keep your husband in my prayers. I will be going out of town the 13th for about 11 days; however I will have access to a computer so will check as much as I can to see how your hubby is doing and also how you are doing.

I will keep on say the my Prayer to the Blessed Mother. It is a very powerful prayer and will say everyday.

Thanks again.

Hi everyone,

I wanted you to know dh came home this evening. 8 days!
And they had him listed as same day surgery.yeah!

anyway,we've got a complication, his wound opened up,about 2 inches out of about 18 inches.
They kept him longer for that too-loading up on the IV antibiotics.

I so glad he's home, the hosp isn't that close and everyday and all of the traffic. I spent $80 just in gas for my little mini van!

keep him in your prayers,
love

Glad He's home Brenda.
I know that is so much better for you both.

I know it's not easy on you and I hope your taking care of "the Nurse" too.

You bet you both stay in my prayers. Every night a moon full of love.

I don't have access to the internet at home at the moment so am doing a quick post during my lunch break at work ...

I saw my GP on Tuesday.

I have Hypothyroidism, brought on by Hashimoto's Thyoiditis (as per the official report).

I've been started on some drug that I cant remember the name of.

What's strange is that Thyroid problems DONT run in my family ... ANYWHERE!

Have only been taking my new tablet for two nights so I guess it'll be at least another few weeks before the depression lifts, the massive mood swings stop and I start to feel like the old Nads again.

Until then, I'm trying my best not to take it all out on Troy ... moved in officially last Wednesday (18th) ... the house still looks like a cyclone has hit it and I have to have it in some sort of order tonight in order for me to pick up my cat from the cattery tomorrow afternoon and introduce him to his new home. I've been taking tissue salts to try and help ease the depression and mood swings. They seem to help if I know i'm in the middle of a bad moment.

So ... that's me for now.

Troy's mum had a heart attack yesterday arvo ... whilst she was at the hospital waiting to see the doc for something else ... so she's now officially a patient.

Life sux ... and i'm just taking it one hour at a time coz that's all the energy that I can muster up.

Will post again sometime soon when I have the energy and a slightly more positive outlook on life.

Til then ... hugs from down under ...
Nadia

My philosophy is simply this: Life is too short to be diplomatic. Your friends should not care what you do, or say; and for those who are not your friends ... their loss!!!

Hi Nadia. I am glad to see you posting. I will keep you in my prayers that you start feeling better real soon.

So sorry to hear about Troy's mum having a heart attack. I hope that she is getting better.

Nadia, please take care of yourself. We miss seeing you on the board.

Have a good evening.
