I have often noticed that if I go to bed early, right after supper, rls is worse. I am diabetic and I believe that rls sufferers may have what scientists call metabolic syndrome-high blood triglycerides. These when they clog the peripheral arteries, which are much narrower to start with, might be linked to the uncomfortable sensation and distress.
I have started to eat early and give at least 3 to 4 hours before going to bed. It seems to help.

Food Before Bed
Hi LDL007,
Because of GERD, I don't eat or drink anything for 3 hours before I go to bed. Doesn't help the RLS But, MEDS WORK ! ! Lucky me
I'm always amazed at the differences in what works for each of us. Thanks for one more tool to add to my tool box of suggestions for other RLSers.

My triglycierides are very low. Is your RLS primary or secondary? Mine is primary and all my tests are always fine, even when I feel like **** I do think that some of us have food triggers, though they differ from person to person.
