Getting disability status for RLS or other sleep disorders is very difficult. Many of us know, however, that chronic sleep deprivation leads to fatigue and cognitive function loss (among other things) that can make it very difficult to perform at work. I found this link on another RLS board to an article about how employers can provide accommodation to people with sleep disorders. Helpful info for those times when work and RLS do not mix:
