Hi! That's really interesting. Just curious -- do you have a link to the site?
Neurontin, Trileptal, Cymbalta, and Flexeril work for me.

Here are my results for the sleep test:

40% insomnia
54% sleep apnea
42% narcolepsy
100% rls

Interesting how well I scored on the rls.

that was very cool!

50% Insomnia
31% Sleep Apnea
17% Narcolepsy
0% Gas reflux
and
75% Nocturnal Myoclonus

Nocturnal Myoclonus sounds a lot sexier then Restless Leg Syndrome.

Now I feel sleepy

Wouldn't nocturnal myoclonus be only for PLMD though? You can have RLS without twitching/kicking.

Since RLS is often not in the legs, they really ought to rename it. Just go with the original, "Wittmaack-Ekbom's Syndrome," and use a WES acronym to avoid ever having to spell it. :)

Personally I like calling it "myoclonic jerks." It just has a nice ring to it.

My scores were:
Sleep disorder 70%
Apnea 38%
Narcolepsy 67%
Reflux 43%
RLS 88%

Yeah, I like the "jerk" part.

Interesting that the sleep apnea scores are high. I would post mine, but I accidentally shut the window  I know that I *don't* have apnea, but my score was high, anyway.

Oh, yeah, and 100% on the RLS.

It seems to me - and always has - that these tests are skewed because some responses apply to others. Like the first page, do you have trouble falling asleep - I could say yes, but it's because my legs are crazy, not because I have insomnia.

For apnea, there were several that apply to me as a person with RLS:
overweight - while a risk factor for apnea, research shows that lack of sleep contributes to this
same for gaining weight
same with changes in personality - it's proven that lack of sleep causes us to have more difficulty controlling our outburts
and, feel sleepy during the day? Duh - all of us do, particularly with PLMD.

So, I could have answeed yes to four of these and still not have apnea.

And, I could have apnea.

I get why they need to ask them, but it's just not quite this simple (and I suspect they know that).

Hi
Thanks Cyndi for finding the link I get lost when I'm looking up things can never find how to get back.
Interesting everyones results and it's true a lot of us could answer yes to the questions but not have the conditions, but be able to answer yes cos of our rls.
It just shows what problems it causes our bodies to have and just how badly it affects all of us.
Yes Aiken I am still wondering why it gets called rls as it affects so many other parts of our bodies.....mind you if the doctors think it's just the legs then maybe they don't see that as too big a problem..I don't think they listen when you tell them it's in other areas also......they need educated!!!
