Hi there. First post so go easy on me please.
I have had RLS since me teenage years (now 33). Wasnt all that bad until recently - the odd night here and there. Now it seems to be getting more common. Nothing has changed in my life. Recently went into hospital for another reason and came out to 3 days of restless legs and no sleep AT ALL for those 3 nights. I phoned doctor in desperation on sunday morning and he prescribed Temazepam. HE says himself he doesnt know much about RLS and I suppose the more I see him, the more we will both learn. Anyway - since it started getting bad, have cut out coffee, tea, alcohol, chocolate, icecream - anything with caffeine in it. HAs worked to certain extent but still cant sleep. I'm anxious it reappears I know that and try deep breating and thinking of everything else under the sun apart from my legs (and sometimes arms too). Anyway - what I'm asking is - has anyone found temazepam to be a fairly persistent 'cure' for RLS? It doent knock me out at all. I take 20 mg and am still awake or sleep for only 30 mins - 2.5 hours. I am slowly falling to bits. Help.
