Can anyone recommend a doctor who is a specialist in RLS or at least extremely knowledgable?
Thanks,

You'll just have to drive a bit north and it'll be worth it. Dr. Buchfurer is the doctor adviser for the South California RLS Support Group, has co-authored some RLS books, has advised the RLS Foundation, etc.
Here's the link to the Support Group; you can find a link on there that asks if you want to make an appointment, I think. www.rlshelp.org.

Hey here's the update:
Dr. Buchfuhrer was great. He took into account my issues with addiction etc. His approach was to prescribe three drugs that each would work on part of the RLS but none in too strong of a dose. He prescribed Lyrica, halved my Requip, and Tramadol. It worked instantly. It's amazing what a difference sleep can make. I was wondering why I was always tired. Even when I was sleeping I doubt I was really sleeping well. And I no longer dread the night time. I actually look forward to it and getting some sleep.
I switched to Neurontin after the Lyrica samples ran out because my insurance wouldnt' pay for it, but the Neurontin seems to work as well.
Thanks for the recommendation! Life is better - for now at least.

I just love to log in and see stories like this. Thank you for the update.
In my fantasy world, we don't need this message board because we all get the help we need and are taken care of by our doctors, understood by our families, etc.
