One of the toughest aspects of this disease is that it doesn't present the same or react the same in us. There appear to be groupings of things that similarly effect us, though, and some of us do react to caffeine and everyone should stop it and see what happens.
If it works, excellent! If not, then it's just not the caffeine-type and hopefully the person can find triggers.
For some of us, though, the RLS is there regardless of triggers; triggers may make it worse, but it's there anyway. That's how alcohol is for me. Not drinking doesn't take away the WED, but when I have even a 1/2 glass of wine, I can count on much worsened symptoms for a couple of hours. So, I avoid alcohol most times.
caffeine?
