Hi beth am taking 500mg of vit c , am back up to the amount of iron (ferrous fumarate) ive to take 630mg ..... ok no horrible effects from the iron anymore,
the rls is still very slight which is great.
codeine intake is minimum to nil again :-)
something else ive done is my chair in the living room .....i have put a firm foam pad underneath the seat cusion and put a pillow behined the back rest cusion
so it has changed my sitting position to more upright and higher and not sinking into the seat.....i did this cos of my arthritis and degeneration in my knees
and it is helping reduce the pain and i also think its helping the rls

what does anyone else think coincidence or a combination of things.....or do you think it might be really helping?

waterloo my gp is good ,I have a very good relationship with her for my mental health condition, which is very important to me...so i just keep educating her
lol x

ps
meant to say seating position is knees and bum level

moonlight I think it's a combination of things. The iron is good, the meds are working, the chair? - officially, they might say the chair had nothign to do twtih it, but it reduces your back pain, and that's that link again with back pain .... who knows, maybe it's there's a real cause -effect relation ship beterrn RLS and back issues.

Hi guys

Well am doing ok rls is behaving its self on the whole am pleased to say

have finished the iron and waiting to see if my ferritin level has increased.

still happy with my chair adjustments and i do think its helping ....yes Beth it has helped my back as well.

am continuing with the acupuncture and still believe its helping also getting it for my knees and it helps but not for very long, am getting sent to
the gym by the orthopaedic doc to build up my muscles in my legs to reduce the pain in my knees.......any excersize sounds good to me.its specifically for
people with mental health conditions and physios trained in such care so i will feel at ease and theres a much better chance of me keeping going.

was put on cinnarizine for dizziness DONT take it it sends rls into orbit for several days.....i didnt realise it was an antihistamine and so a nono,

everything went back to normal after i stopped it .

so thats whats happening at the moment

am off on respite from monday for eight days .......cant wait

Moonlight, I am so happy you are in a more or less "normal" state right now. I feel for you, I hate for you to cry. GG

hey moonlight, good to hear from you. The physio will be good. Most knee pain (other than arthritis) is caused by an imbalance in muscle strength. I had amazing results from a few simple exercises so I hope yours goes as well. Exercise is always good for depression too. Mostly glad to hear you're sleeping and in less pain.

oh i'm slow at answering
never found out what the dizziness was caused by, possibly my meds or anxiety, it comes and goes but nothing like it was.
my ferritin level got up to 40, pretty good when its only ever got to 17.
the rls behaved its self for a good while but is causing problems again ...especially when i'm using the computer, was thinking
have just been thru really bad patch of anxiety and depression and think that it has had an effect on the rls , does anyone else find this?

haven't started the gym yet for my knees, its a bit daunting when i'm unwell as i find it very difficult to be around people
but hopefully next week will take my form in and try.

am off again on respite in first week in April ....something to look forward to.

Sorry to hear the WED is out of whack again. Seems stress causes a lot of people to get much worse from what I've read--same here. Hope you are feeling better soon  , and ouch :( for the knees.

Moonlight, also could be since when you're using the computer it gets worse, might be it's the same thing as your living room chair! Hope you can make similar adjustments to your computer chair. And remember, if your RLS gets close to going out of control, take some of your opiate. GG
