Just sucks it doesn't appear you get your doses in pill form in any case, as everything I've read relates to take-home allowances, having to sign stuff saying you have proper storage, etc.

I'm sure it will NOT be fun - and you likely will have to go more often than you would like. But, daily????? Wow. I never considered that. But if for now, it lets you find another solution, that is good, even if it is a pain. And, hopefully it's at least weekly and can move to monthly if you comply. - not saying you wouldn't! More just that you agree to their criteria, whatever that is.

It's all set up via strict federal guidelines.

When they first do intake you have to show up daily, I guess, so they can monitor you and make sure you are on the correct dosage, no health issues, etc.
Then you can get take home-allowances up to certain amounts depending on certain criterea, like how long you've been in the program, if your urine screens are clean of illicit substances, etc.

But traveling abroad would be a pain in the ****, as some countries don't let methadone into the country, etc. And depending on how long you were going to be on vacation, or traveling, etc you might need to get special permission forms signed.

It's all pretty tightly regulated; but I don't care at this point... I just hope they take me. And then maybe I can worry about finding a doctor after I no longer have to worry about where my next dose of medication comes from.

I suppose I technically wouldn't be telling too much of a lie anyway, given my substance abuse history, and my inability to manage my prescription @ prescribed amounts (although in this case, the morphine just isn't cutting it).

I went to Wisconsin Sleep and that is where I was diagnosed. I saw Dr. Ruth Benca - I would HIGHLY recommend her!! She is a psych in addition to being a sleep specialist, and she's up on all the latest research.

My problems just keep getting worse..

It seems one of my (many) damaged teeth decided now was a good time to start dying *bangs head on nearest wall* :|

I agree that often it is just one thing after another, after another.

I have a front crown on a post which has been re-cemented twice - should be pain free as a root canal was done --- ??? It is not, it flares up every so often.
It is loose again and very tender - have just rung for another appointment. And I reckon Dentist will be suggesting a false tooth....
Thankfully here in UK our treatment costs are 'capped' at around £400. And work is guaranteed for one year. (I think)

It would be wonderful if you could have a series of treatment sessions and have all of your damaged teeth treated and sorted and have some rest from this health aspect.
