"Ask Dr. Jo" is a very good on-line physical therapist. I've used her exercises for various things as well as visiting a physio in person when able.

A doc I saw for my perpetually sprained ankle recommended "Dr. Jo"!

Have watched her several times myself!

I have a right shoulder issue. A two inch rotator cuff tear that can't be repaired. All they can do is a reversed total replacement.
Isn't it wonderful to get older.
Yes, isn't it though (getting old lol)

I had my right shoulder operated on about 10 years ago, they shaved some of the bone off and that was all they needed to do, thinking the left might need it now but will hope for best.

good to hear from you. Glad you're hanging in there!

Keep doing the exercises, it might take a while; also there's a lot of good info on shoulder rehab if you can dig it out of the truckloads of not-so-good info online.

Funny, I also am having left shoulder issues and bunion issues - I am doing a set of exercises for both shoulders 4 days a week, and they seem really good so far. Aimed at mobilizing and strengthening the muscles that control the scapulae, which are usually neglected in workouts. Also the thoracic spine - getting flexibility.

I just ordered Correct Toes toe spacers which are supposed to help bunions. Mine aren't painful but my feet in general are very painful and it will be months or more before I can get in to see the specialist, who comes up from Edmonton. I've had a sprain in my left ankle since July
I am still doing the exercises, not getting better but not worse either.
The shoe inserts for the bunions work really good but can't go barefoot at all.
Going for the free medicare checkup next week which should be interesting (laugh).

You are sounding pretty positive and it's great to hear that you are doing ok.
It's 11 months since our first lockdown. With two slight easements in between we are on major lockdown 3. The result of a (very foolish) two week relaxation before xmas.....

I look for reasons to be grateful. Main one is a cpap machine since the start of December and sleep that I had not known for at least 25 years.
Awesome on sleep!

We are pretty much snowed in here. My wife and I made a baby Yoda snowman out front and tinted the head green.

EeFall - you made me laugh.... I saw... "My wife and I made a baby" ...then read the full sentence correctly. I love your green headed Yoda snowman.
Interesting to read your comment on your shoe inserts as my podiatrist had made to measure supports sorted for me. They are great for taking the pressure off the front toe joints. I also cannot go barefoot.

I am having a problem in the last few months where my taste has changed drastically. For example if I eat a BBQ potato chip it seems much more hot, in fact today I was choking on one potato chip, even the back of my throat seemed on fire. This has been happening with all kinds of spicy foods and my wife says all the food is the same to her. In fact it happens to food that I would not have even called spicy before.

The other thing about taste is that I am having to sweeten foods that were normally okay with Sweet'N Low (an artificial sweetener) to make the foods taste similar. So some sweet food now seems more sour.

Could it have something to do with RLS? Could it be something else?

I had this happen to me with spicy things. Always assumed it was medication, but am not sure.

I haven’t changed meds for years. Maybe it is part of aging.
It is just really weird.

Wow. I just found this 8-year old thread and am wondering how EeeFall is doing? I hope he is still riding the Big Wave. His perseverance and will to survive is an inspiration to me, who, after just a few years of refractory RLS am ready to give up and suicide. Only my love and concern for my wife and children keeps me from doing it. i , too have symptoms day and night , so , without medication, i can neither sleep at night nor nap during the day. I can't even relax because relaxation is what bring on the symptoms (in my case, involuntary twitching and jerking movements in all different parts of my body--chest, abdomen, arms, occasionally legs. sometimes it's just a subtle tension or vibration or jolt in the center of my chest without any movement, but still enough to bring me from the verge of sleep to full alertness--no sleep possible. Continually experimenting with drugs, balancing effects and side effects and withdrawal effects. What a life--ridin' that wave, but afraid it might just knock me down and crush me...

Paul have you tried buprenorphine? That's what EeFall takes. I just recently started it. My RLS is severe too. It's working. I only take a fraction of what they prescribed. I didn't need more. I cut the film until I get about a 1/16th dose. I also take gabapentin.
Good luck
