doctor not on the ball

Post by Polar Bear »

Today I went to doc for an x ray result.
No change from previous.
No Change from previous what says me.
Hard to say, says doc. Can't see your previous results.

I also had to have two meds reviewed.
Doc says what are you taking the ropinerole for.
Me ...... for RLS (keeping it simple)
DOC SAYS.....what's RLS.

AGGGHHHH
I got home before my husband and my car wasn't parked just the best causing him to have to squeeze his car tight.
Hubby asks...why didn't you repark your car.
My response.......I couldn't be ar*ed. !!!

What are you going to do? It's not as if you have many options.

It's not the doctor that I usually go to. My health centre has several doctors.

I was only attending for the xray result and for health centre to be able to tick the box to say they had seen me.
I think patients have to be seen/assessed at least yearly for ongoing medication.
This lady doctor is just about retired and only works one day per week.

She just happened to see the ropinerole listed on my file and asked what it was prescribed for because it's not a commonly used medication.
I know who not to go to again - she is a lovely and pleased lady, but clearly not 'up on WED/RLS'.

Ah, that's a good thing - not good that she doesn't know, but good you don't have to see her.
