The FB page states 8 May as the deadline. Should we disregard this?

Thanks.

Yes, disregard what the FB page says. Once NIH realized that there was a problem with the original submission data, they extended the comment period for one week.

However, be sure to use the corrected email address information as listed earlier in this thread.

An announcement from the Foundation about the extension to May 16 and the new email info:

NIH seeks public input on sleep research by May 16

The NIH has confirmed with the RLS Foundation that the email previously provided for public input on sleep research is no longer working. The NIH has set up a new email and has extended the date for you to share your perspectives, personal stories, opinions and/or suggestions to May 16. Your opinion is important to shape the future of all sleep related conditions, including RLS.

Provide your input to the NIH by May 16.

Here's how:

Send your email the the following email address:

rfi-sleepplan2016@collaboration.nhlbi.nih.gov

Subject line RFI identifier:

NOT-HL-16-312

NEW Response date: May 16, 2016

For each suggested high priority area of adherence research, please provide brief background information, define the challenge and outline the potential solution. Reponses are expected to be less than 1,000 words. Respondents will receive an automated email confirmation acknowledging receipt of their response, but will not receive individualized feedback.

Thank you for your participation and for your willingness to bring awareness to the challenges of living with RLS.

With every best wish,

Karla
