RLS Revelation from the Past
I want to share something I learned today about a loving personthat meant a lot to me in my younger years. Growing up my best friend lived next door and our moms were best friends too. We would freely go from one house to another that's how close we were. As we became adults, I moved away and we became mostly Christmas card friends. With the recent fires in California, I emailed her to see how they were coping and in the email mentioned I would be flying over her on my way to see my restless legs specialist. She then revealed to me that her mom had suffered for years with RLS. Her mom died about 15 years ago and when she died, she left her brain to science to be studied for RLS. This touched me deeply. I loved this dear lady like a mom. My friend went on to tell me that her sister suffers with RLS too. My friend had RLS but it went away after she was treated for Crohn's disease. My mom also had RLS but didn't talk much about it. My friend and I plan to have a telephone visit very soon to share our experiences with RLS. I can't wait:)

Re: RLS Revelation from the Past
Finding that you share a condition with a close friend from the past is always an amazing experience. Two years ago I exchanged a series of emails with the best man at my wedding. I mentioned that I was having hand surgery for a genetic condition that hits the hands of men over 50. He asked about the symptoms and then said, I have that too. We saw each other again last May and sure enough, he has the same condition but thankfully his isn't severe enough yet to require surgery.

What type of specialist do you see? My community is pretty small and none of the doctors seem to know much about RLS.
