Welcome to RKM7
Friday, March 19
Welcome to
RKM7, who has had RLS for 20 years. She recently stopped taking Requip due to augmentation. She is looking for other treatment options. She is very sleep deprived and this condition is torture.
The first thing to try following augmentation if your ferritin levels are not too low would be gabapentin, Horizant or Lyrica. But they only work for about 65% of us. The most common class of meds for those who have been through augmentation are the opioids.

Welcome to Bbiluvflorida
Friday 20 March 2021
Welcome today to:
Bbiluvflorida - who has been suffering with rls for 30+ years. The only med that helps is pramipexole but side effects are ruining Bbiluvflorida's life as well as having to continue with higher doses.
We are so glad that you have found us and we hope to be able to help you. We would like to know what side effects you are having from the pramipexole and your dosage as it is possible you are suffering from Augmentation. Please read the Augmentation section in Just Joined. If you feel like making a post telling us how you have coped over the years, your different medications and what has or has not worked we will do our best to help.

Welcome to rachelisafish
Sunday, March 21
Welcome to
rachelisafish, who has had RLS since childhood. It wasn't until later in life that she even realized it was a "condition". She just assumed everyone had "restless legs" sometimes. She is noticing as she ages, it is getting slightly worse and she mostly feels tired during the day. She would love to know if there is anything she can do (lifestyle changes, medications etc.) to feel more energetic and lively.
We would be happy to help you out but need to have an idea of what you have tried so far so that we know where to start. There are a number of approaches that can be taken, so we just need to know where to start. To get us started, all you need to do is post a note for us.

Welcome to roederkj
Wednesday, March 24
Welcome to
roederkj, whose RLS is become more severe with age. It is causing very little sleep, sometimes none at all at night.
Those are all common complaints about RLS, especially for those of us who are older. If there are any questions that you would like to ask or if you would like a suggestion to get better control and more sleep, just post a note and let us know how we can help.

Welcome to Channel
Thursday, March 25
Welcome to
Channel, who does not get sufficient sleep and does not want to increase meds. It's very disturbing because Channel's RLS is getting worse.
We might be able to provide some suggestions that would help increase control of your RLS without having to increase meds. If you would be willing to post a note and tell us what you are currently taking, that would open up a conversation where we may be able to help you out.

Welcome to Brigid13
Monday, March 29
Welcome to
Brigid13, who was diagnosed with RLS about 1 year ago. Her RLS has recently begun to increase in severity and she is interested in learning other peoples "tricks" on how to cope.
We would be happy to help you out and maybe even explain why your RLS has recently become more severe. If you are willing to tell us what you have been doing to manage your RLS so that we know where to start, we should be able to help you out.

Welcome to Mvh244
Tuesday, March 30
Welcome to
Mvh244, who is experiencing augmentation on 3mg Ropinerole.
If you are augmenting on that relatively high dose of Ropinerole, you need to get off of it and switch to a non-dopamine medication. If you need any help doing that, we are here to explain the process or simply to provide reassurance during this difficult process.
