I just ran across this article about the difficulty of stopping some SSRIs. Some of us may have gotten RLS from using the SSRIs; this is just one more great reason not to take them! If you do need to take them, not only do we need to worry about them causing RLS, but we need to worry about how hard it can be to stop them!

Yes, it's more than stunning. It's almost incomprehensible. I posted another article last year about the same thing. Again, all these people who didn't know about it. . .
Maybe we just hang out with too many people who take drugs, so we figure it out a little faster than they do.
Actually, when I went through the "accidentally stopping Klonopin cold turkey" debacle, my docs were NOT familiar with how bad it can get for some people.
And, when I had an adverse reaction to .25 mg of Mirapex, and found I did much better starting at .125, my neuro was shocked. He had no idea that it could cause those side effects.
I really think they don't listen much, and just know what the drug reps tell them. I'm not dissing all docs, but truly, many of them are NOT at all up to speed on this stuff. If I hadn't been reading and educating myself, I can't tell you how many times I would have been screwed by my docs.
It's also just plain sad.

This was a similar article and the link still works.

I just did a search on Yahoo using the same words as in the link. I found these. Not sure if they are the same exact ones, but assume it is quite similar:
