The x means that it's not being "read" right - something in the link isn't working.
I noticed someone else with an X earlier today...these are hard to get right.
Did you load it on a site like photobucket and link to this site? If so, Susan can probably look and see what the issue is.

Moonlight, can you send me a link to your photobucket page, along with your password? I can probably fix the problem, and will delete your password from my mail when I am done.
It seems like most problems are caused by clicking the wrong link in Photobucket. You need to click the link that says "Direct Linking" and not the one for email. When you click it, it copies it for you so all you have to do is paste in the box in your profile where it says "Link to offsite avatar" and then click "submit."
I looked in your profile and didn't seen anything there.
