Disability?
Disability?
I have a job and so far knock on woos.... No problems. But I would imagine some people have been able to collect disability for this condition. Anyone have experience?

Re: Disability?
I live in the Uk and so would not be familiar with US systems. However anything that I have read would indicate that it is not easy to collect disability for this condition. There have been threads in the past on this subject. Perhaps a search may throw up some useful discussion points.

Re: Disability?
Not many in the US - it's HARD to prove. It has been done, though.
I know that if I wasn't self employed I'd be in deep trouble. I can't imagine how I'd work full time, regular hours.

Re: Disability?
I lost my job. I applied for disability,it took 6 months. My memory was affected (still is) and I believe that's what I got it for. I blamed all of the meds and no sleep for my memory loss. I've talked about this before on this site. I haven't been checked for a stroke. Or maybe I'm getting Alzhiemers, who knows. I saw a doctor and had a "mental exam". I suppose I did poorly enough. I know they also put down my WED and sleep apnea, both severe. I knew that I wouldn't be able to work much longer. I was holding on, that last year. I had been very good at my job and always got good reviews. DEB
