Volunteers Required to appear in TV documentary.

We are looking for people with extreme RLS symptoms, USA or Europe based, to share their story in a new documentary aimed at lifting the lid on the so-called 'invisible illness'.

Hi ViewsAskew! Yes Canadians are very welcome as well - we want to get the message out about RLS to the UK and so for the right RLS sufferer we would be willing to go to them. We are looking for people at the severe end of the scale as this will really illustrate to people who don't understand the condition how debilitating it can really be.

Hi Polar Bear, Thanks for enquiring. We would travel to the volunteer and we would talk to them about how RLS affects their life/symptoms. We want to illustrate how hard it is to live with RLS day to day and so would it would involve some filming with them on a normal day. If somebody does want to share their story with us and wants to hear more about what this would entail please fell free to contact us via rls@iconfilms.co.uk.

Since I've been looking on the forum I have come across and read a number of your posts and am really sorry to read of how you've suffered with RLS.

As you have your own personal experiences and also a wealth of knowledge from reading and responding to others' posts on the forum, I would really like to be able to set up a phone call between you and our Researcher, Laura so you can talk about your experiences as an RLS sufferer, and coping mechanisms you have. I have a phone call set up for this Friday. It will be interesting to see what happens. I don't know if I am severe enough. I know my doctor calls me severe. I will let you all know what happens.

ARE YOU PREGNANT WITH RLS?

You might have already seen our post above about the documentary on RLS we are making, and we are very grateful to those who have already been in touch. In addition, we are reaching out to pregnant women who have had an onset of RLS during pregnancy, but not necessarily experienced the symptoms of RLS before this. If you are pregnant and suffering with RLS, please get in touch, we would love to speak to you. Please do still get in touch if you are currently experiencing severe RLS symptoms as we are keen to speak to as many people we can so we can illustrate to the general public just how debilitating RLS can be, and in doing so raise awareness about the condition.
