I hope someone here has had experience with it, deb.

I looked up any associations I could find between donepezil/Aricept and RLS/WED. Although some people have both, it's no more than you;d expect in the general population. One guy seemed to get RLS-like symptoms one night from stopping Aricept abruptly.

There is a support group for people who take donepezil/Aricept and have RLS/WED: http://www.ehealthme.com/support-group/ ... l-and-rls/. This is not to say donepezil causes RLS; only that people who take Aricept and have RLS might have specific things to share with each other.

I also looked up its side effects, and difficulty sleeping is one of them. It is sometimes used to increase REM sleep, so if that happened at the expense of deep sleep, it might be seen as a negative impact on sleep quality.
