November 2016 - New Members

Post by Rustsmith »

Tuesday, November 1

Welcome today to

yellow26, who is so miserable anymore yellow26 dreads the night...then when yellow goes to doctor they say yellow is ODing on the medication which a specialist put yellow on. And now the new laws say no narcotics.

As you will see if you take a look around, your experience is one that many of us are facing. Please post a note providing a few more specifics so that we can make some suggestions.

Welcome to swatty

Friday, November 4

Welcome to

swatty, whose RLS has caused a change in living pattern due to a big change in sleep habits that can be controlled "somewhat" by following strict medication procedures. A constant concern is "Will the current medication continue to be effective and if not what's the next procedure."

These are common concerns for all of us. Take a look around and then please post a note with any questions or comments that you have.

Welcome jill s, our newest member. jill s feels that RLS is ruining life; particularly because the drugs have bad side effects.

Boy, I sure understand that! The great thing, to me, about this board is that others here have tried so many drugs that they may be able to help you find others. Or not - but either way, we understand how difficult this makes life.

Welcome to puddy43

Welcome to puddy43, who has been on 3 different medications; they work for a while and then the RLS returns. puddy43 suffers on a 24/7 basis and has been affected for the better part of 10 years. RLS is hard for others to understand and is athe totally frustrating presence it is in puddy43's life.

Here we all understand your situation and many of us are similarly afflicted. Please post a note telling us a bit more about the medications your have tried and your current treatment. As a group, we have found that there is always something else that you and your doctor can try.

Welcome to Omi7413

Welcome to

Omi7413, who has had RLS for yrs but it has gotten worse over the last yr. Omi7413 is now on requip and it actually works for about a month and then it has to be increased again. Omi7413 is having trouble working on an ambulance without standing in the back of the truck.

Take a look around, especially in the forum on Augmentation since the need to increase your dose of Requip sounds suspicious. And then please post a note telling us more about yourself and asking any questions that you have.

Welcome to Sleepyhead2

Wednesday, November 9

Welcome to

Sleepyhead2, who has had RLS since early childhood and is now 69 years young. I was fortunate to find this RLS site when it first became active, and found enough information to help me learn to cope and get my physician on the path to helping me. Sleepyhead2 now needs to find updated information for Sleepyhead's son and a friend.

Take a look around since you know the place and please feel free to post a note with any questions that you have. You already know how we work!
