December 2016 - New Members

Post by Rustsmith »

Friday, December 2

Welcome to

fliesatnight, who just developed full-blown RLS at age 41, likely triggered by Remeron. flies suffered from panic disorder and fibromyalgia for years but finds the RLS to be unbearable. It's severe and almost constant in flies's arms and legs and has obliterated the ability to sleep.

Take a look around to get an idea of what others do to manage their severe RLS. And then please post a note telling us about your RLS, what you are doing to treat it and asking any questions that you have.

Welcome to Nichole

Thursday, December 8

Welcome to

Nichole, who is 45 and taught yoga and fitness for 15 years. She had to stop teaching and practicing due to pain in her legs, feet and hands/arms. She also used to walk 10,000 steps a day but exercise makes her RLS worse. Medications have not been able to be tolerated so she is super frustrated.

Take a look around and then please post a note telling us about what meds you have tried so we might be able to make some further suggestions and ask any questions that you have.

Welcome to Kowens

Post by Rustsmith »

Thursday, December 8

Welcome to

Kowens, who has lived with RLS since high school not knowing what it was. In her 20's she went to doctor after doctor who didn't believe her or told her to loose weight and exercise. Commercials started being shown describing the symptoms and she finally felt justified! It is now a daily struggle.

Take a look around to see if you can find anything that helps reduce the daily hassles of RLS. And please post a note telling us about your current treatment and asking any questions that you have.
