June 2017 - New Members

Post by Rustsmith »

Friday, June 2

Welcome to

larkburg, whose RLS has made any normal schedule unlikely. It steals sleep and energy and creates long nights of misery (both with the constant need to move and, increasingly, with more intense pain).

Take a look around and then please post a note telling us what you are doing to manage your RLS and asking any questions that you have.

Welcome to ChrisL

Saturday, June 3

Welcome to

ChrisL, who has suffered from RLS for over 50 years and in the last 10 years it has become chronic. Treatments have caused narcolepsy, often falling asleep in front of the computer. It starts almost every evening at about 9pm and can last up to 2 hours and often occurs between 4-5am too.

Take a look around and then post a note telling us what you are doing to manage it now and asking any questions that you have.

Tuesday, June 6

Welcome to

Kleinkjk36, who lives every day with the fear that plans for the day will evaporate due to lack of sleep. She often spends 10 hours in bed to get 2-3 hours of real sleep and the few occasions when she does sleep are a very precious gift.

This is a situation that we can all relate to. Please post a note telling us what you are doing to manage your RLS and asking any questions that you have.

Welcome to

Beckyh, who had occasional, mild past RLS worsened rapidly after surgery. 900mg Gabapentin is working to stop the irritating midnight sensations in her hips and upper legs. She wonders if she has nerve damage from stopping Tramadol too quickly (cold turkey) 2 months after the surgery??

Please post a note with some of the details of how you stopped the Tramadol so that we can offer some specific comments for you.
