Post by Polar Bear »

1st September 2017

Today we welcome:

J.P. - whose body is restless, particularly the legs. It prevents J.R. from sleeping. seems more active when J.R. is very tired.

We are sorry that you are suffering. When you feel ready please make a post and tell us a little about your RLS Journey, what medications you are taking.
Much good information can be found on the Just Joined forum - A Good Place to Start: Managing your RLS.

Welcome to Kimrae

Post by Rustsmith »

Saturday, September 2

Welcome to

Kimrae, whose work has just started suffering because she is just too tired to do a full day. She is depressed and feels like she is losing her mind. She told her doctor and she just ignored her and made her feel like she is crazy.

Please post a note telling us if you are taking anything now to manage your RLS. And please consider finding a new doctor who understands RLS or at least is willing to work with you to learn. It is very unfortunate that doctor's make patients feel like it is a mental problem with the patient when it is really the doctor's ignorance of how to treat a condition like RLS.

Welcome to lucyarlene

Post by Rustsmith »

Tuesday, September 5

Welcome to

lucyarlene, who has had RLS symptoms for her entire life and is now 64, RLS was not heard of. Her RLS turned bad at 50 and after 3 sleep studies she was finally diagnosed and treated with a dopamine agonist, until the time she augmented. Quite by accident she realized that Tylenol #3 made her legs settle down sometimes and is now glad to have found a doctor that listens so that she can still get it. But her RLS symptoms still give her nights where she cannot sleep.

After you have a chance to look around, please post a note telling us a bit more about your current treatment and asking any questions that you have.
