WELCOME to goodolfin

Post by ViewsAskew »

Monay, 18 of March -

Welcome to goodolfin, who has had mild rls for many years. After an virus, it has become much worse, so goodofin is looking to learn more about RLS.

Many of us have an event that caused a worsening. Interesting that yours was a virus. Please start a new topic and let us know more about it; we cannot promise we can help, but we certainly will try!

Tuesday, March 19

Welcome to

madigan, whose life revolves around her legs 24/7. Will she sleep? Can she sit long enough to watch a TV show? Will the 4 hour drive to visit grandchildren be torture? When will her next augmentation start? Every activity depends on how she is feeling at that moment.

Please post a note telling us how you manage your RLS. We can probably offer some suggestions for improvement.

Please post a note telling us if you have been treated for augmentation and what you are currently taking for your RLS. We should be able to help you out either way.

Welcome to Tom Thumb

Post by Polar Bear »

20th March 2019

Welcome today to:

Tom Thumb - whose wife has RLS. He would like to learn more about the disease and the newest developments in treatment. The physicians locally do not have a good understanding of the illness.

You will find lots of information on the Just Joined Forum - A Good Place to Start. Most of us find that it takes some time to find a doctor with RLS knowledge and often we need to educate them ourselves. Your wife is fortunate that you are understanding of this disease.
Please post and tell us the history and medication used, and feel free to ask questions.

Welcome to lbrls123

Thursday, March 21

Welcome to

lbrls123, who is a 68yo male who has had hereditary RLS since childhood. He does not remember a time when he did not have to deal with nightly symptoms. Because his symptoms became worse with age, he was forced to quit his job at age 61 and apply for SS disability. He currently manages his symptoms with opoids but still has to adjust his daily activities because of his symptoms.

Please post a note asking any questions that you have and hopefully we will be able to answer them.

Welcome to Sophie

Thursday, March 21

Welcome to

Sophie, who has had RLS over 10 years and has to plan many activities according to her RLS and the timing of her medication. She thinks that augmentation may be starting and would like ideas on the best way forward.

Please post a note telling us about your new symptoms, the med that you are using and the dose, and your ferritin level (if you know it). With that info, we can give you some advice about augmentation as well as the options that you can discuss with your doctor for deciding on your best approach for addressing augmentation.
